i love a long weekend...

lots of time to get projects done & relax at home. i finally finished the blanket for my new nephew this evening so i can send it off next week before he is born.
ian's blanket completed
the angle of the photo makes it look like its not square but it is. The blocks are about 13" x 13" so its a nice large baby blanket & the knit picks crayon is a super soft yarn.

tonight matt really treated me with more of his fabulous cooking. my parents gave us a kitchen aid for a wedding present & matt dove right in with homemade potato bread.
Matt's homemade bread
he served it for dinner with homemade roasted tomato and basil soup...yummy & the perfect thing for a cold san francisco evening.
