photo therapy

This morning I was struggling to take decent pictures of the ornaments I finished last night. My flash is too bright or there's not enough natural light & how do I get a good backround that doesn't show you the mess in the apartment. So, I usually resort to waiting for the living room to get light enough & using the black table as a backround.

That doesn't work for the gingerbread man though as he blends into the table so my brilliant idea is to put some tissue paper from a Crate & Barrel box under him.

My the kitchen light has a nice yellow sickly glow.

Then I start looking at the photos other people have taken of their knitting on Flickr and this one captures my attention. Why do some people's knitting pictures just stand out & make everything they make & every yarn they own look so great? I mean these are just some colorful scarves but the photos makes them look so fun. Hmm, I think I'll take a little more time looking cuz heave knows I hate looking at pictures on Flickr. I'll share some of my favorites with you all....
