why is there never a two year old around when you need one?

I had based my chest size out on one of my book's measurements for children at different ages & it said a 2 - 3 year old has a 21" 22" chest so 24" should be fine. Well, I started looking at other books & they had sweaters for two year olds at 30"+. Then I measured a t-shirt that was for sizes 18 months through 24 months & its was 24". So, I decided I need to rip this out & make it a few inches bigger so the chest size will be more like 26". I figure with kids its better to err on the bigger size. Has anyone ever seem a chart with average measurements for children? I couldn't find anything. I love to design sweaters and things for my nephews but they all live far away from me so I can't just pop over & measure them.

Thanks for your input on the robot chart. It looks like between all of you & the Chicks last night B is the overwhelming favorite.
