I've been gone for a little bit because last week ended very roughly. I lost a friend suddenly & unexpectedly on Thursday. He was my age & I think we just don't expect people our age to go like he did. Plus I had to get a little more up close and personal with his death than I think anyone is comfortable with. He is still in my thoughts everyday but things are returning back to normal which is good.

I made a pin out of some of my felted beads & it looks really nice on my black jacket.
We used some gift cards on Saturday & bought a new toaster (one that doesn't grab the toast & burn it) & a waffle iron.

Matt made Belgium waffles on Sunday morning.
Then we joined the rest of San Francisco to watch the Queen Mary 2 come into the San Francisco Bay under the Golden Gate Bridge.
I love waffles I make my own also :)
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry for your loss!
ReplyDeletehugs!
Nice pic of The Queen Mary 2.
I'm sorry to hear about your friend. How tragic. :(
ReplyDeleteOn a happier note those waffles look absolutely delicious!
What a great picture of the Queen Mary and the bridge. Pictures like that make me miss being home in San Francisco so much.
I hope you are doing well. I am sorry to hear about your loss... Check out the book "In Lue (sp?) of Flowers"
ReplyDeletethat wafle pic might put me over the edge...I now must go have a "second breakfast" as the hobbits would say
Life sort of knocks us up side the head once in awhile, and it can be so blasted hard - I'm so sorry for your loss...
ReplyDeleteIt appears your perspective is in the right place - on the important things - like waffles and the beauty of that photo of the Bay. It helps us appreciate what we have while we have it...remember the good times with your friend, and not so much the painful ending...(I know, easier said than done!)
(((hugs)))
Sorry about your loss.
ReplyDeleteI really like your felted balls!
Yummmmmmmmmm, waffles, save me some! :)
ReplyDeleteI swear! I want to come and live at your house! I want to eat that waffle, and I want to walk down to see the ship! Impressive.
ReplyDeleteAnd the beads do look spectacular on your coat. No kidding. Dramatic.
Oh no! Anyone I know? I'm so sorry. :(
ReplyDeleteI loooove waffles. :)
Axxxxx
Waffles! I definitely had to get a waffle iron when I got married; glad to see you're enjoying them now, too!
ReplyDeleteLooks like the Queen Mary 2 just *barely* fit under that bridge! What a sight!!!!
