the airy scarf finished during yesterday's marketing meeting (love being able to knit through it). my boss said its a good color for me.
a baby sweater for a co-worker in la. i think it still needs something so i'll try embroidering a little flower on it maybe. i'm very happy with how the crochet trimmed turned out. i don't crochet so even a single row of it makes me proud.
last night i did my gauge swatches to start the Jo Sharp sweater. the pattern calls for a size 6 needle to get the gauge (I'm using the yarn called for) yet i had to go done to a size 4 and i'm a tight knitter. i've heard this before at my LYS that the gauge on jo sharp yarns requires some really tight knitting. so, here i go after doing the giant blanket embarking on an adult sweater with size 4 needles! at least this is for me & i love the sweater.
I'm loving that scarf! It would be perfect for where I live too since it never really gets cold.h
ReplyDeleteyou are nuts... but in such a good way. That sweater is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThe scarf is so pretty! It looks nice and soft. The baby sweater is cute as well.
ReplyDeleteLove that sweater the way it is. It would look cute with an embroidered flower, but the simplicity is lovely as well.
ReplyDeleteLove the baby sweater! And that airy scarf is lovely. Are you going to block it out so it's even more airy?
ReplyDeleteI love that JS sweater. I'm a tight knitter too and you're definitely braver then I am to attempt it with size 4 needles. Good luck. I'm sure it will look fabulous when you're done with it.
