and Tommy who is just growing like a weed.
I seem to always pick the hottest weekend to go to Minnesota every year & this year was no different...90+ even by the lake. Luckily we were able to get some swimming in & my parents broke down & got an air conditioner for the cabin.
I took my Clapotis with me as my traveling project & managed to mess it up on the way home. some stitches fell off the end of the needle & when I put them back on I forgot the yarnover...of course I didn't notice it for about 6 rows & had already done a drop row. I thought it was a lost cause but after carefully ripping back 5 rows I was able to fix it. Glad i didn't have to scrap the whole thing but bummed I lost all that valuable knitting time.
I've also stared working on the blanket for my new nephew due in September. Since I mastered intarsia earlier this year (ok, I did it in one project) I decided to make this blanket in all one piece. Yeah no finishing. Its taken a little getting used to managing all the yarns but once I get going it seems to work nicely.
It will have blocks of four colors inside the yellow border.
2 days until Stitch n Pitch!
The blanket looks like it will be gorgeous. Such great colors!
