two steps forward, one step back...

this weekend was another whirlwind of activity, mainly wedding related again. We went to dragonfly bakery on saturday morning to try all their petits fours flavors, oh man what a breakfast! they were so good we ended up picking 3 flavors. the afternoon was spent printing & beginning assembly on our invitations. we decided to make our own so they are very personal. i spent a couple hours saturday glueing ribbons to each of the invitations & getting them straight as possible. sunday we met with our officiant & booked the rehearsal dinner at presidio bowl (yes, bowling!) then it was back home to begin glueing the invitations to their backing cards. i got them all done by 5:00pm & was so proud...but wait what's this picture? scrapped invitations yes, that's all the invvitations taken apart & in the trash. i realized we had put the wrong day on them & they all said saturday not sunday! i cannot believe i didn't catch it until then. luckily the ribbbons could be saved so i'll be glueing again after work this week...sigh. i so need to learn to proofread better.
it was also my an matt's one year anniversary yesterday. he so good & got me this pig bowl that i admired in the napa style catalog. how cute is he?
pig bowl he's actually a ittle redder in person & looks perfect in our kitchen....i think i should store yarn in him. we also had a lovely dinner at range in the mission which included a bottle of teh wine we had on our first date (i have a romantic man)
lots of good news this weekend...my dear friends andy & trish got engaged on saturday & we all celebrated with them that evening. it was supposed to be a surprise but andy couldn't wait & asked her that morning & let the cat out about the party.
...secondly i heard the news i had been hoping for & anne & jamie are coming from england for the wedding! i wished so much i could have been there for theirs & i'm thrilled they can come for ours!

  2. I feel your pain on the invites. After printing out (individually, mind you) about 50 invites, I realized that I had my husband's mother's last name spelled wrong. I freaked out. He read the invites three times, why didn't he notice that? I didn't have enough invites left to correct the mistake. And then I realized I could just send those invites to my guests and nobody (ie: his mom) would ever know! :)
