I needed a break from my big projects (you know how sometimes you just want to make something that is done right away & instantly satisfying?) so I decided to work on some thing for the coffee break window which will go up next at the store. I found this great donut pattern on crafster and decided to whip one up. This one is made from organic cotton. I think I may have done the finishing on the center wrong because it said to weave the the cast on row & last rown together & I bond them off together which created a ridge on the inside hole. I'm going to work on one with frosting while flying to Michigan tomorrow & will try just weaving the ends together to see if it looks better.
I guess its a good think I took a break from the baby blanket because when I picked it back up last night I realized I hadn't changed the direction of the stockenette blocks when I started the third ones. This meant ripping back about 2.5 inches of intarsia & now trying to untangle the mess of yarn...sigh, i think I'll put it off until I'm back next week.
So, I'm off to Michgian to meet Matt's family...wish me luck ;)
