thirteen tuesday thoughts

No new projects to show & nothing really on my mind specifically but with only a 3 more days left of NaBlaPoMo I still need to make sure to post so here's some really random Tuesday thoughts....

1. Its cool that we have lots of wild parrots in our neighborhood but man are those birds loud.
2. I ran into someone I used to be close to last night & hearing about what he is up to now really made me think about no
matter how hard to try to help someone they have to really want it & the willpower to make it happen, it made me sad.
3. In the past 5 days we have had turkey sandwiches twice, turkey quesadillas, turkey chilaquiles (yum) and tonight we will have turkey korma.
4. Turkey curry makes me think of my friend Jamie in England. When I visited two years ago for New Years he made Anne & I turkey curry for dinner. He is just turning 40. Happy Birthday Jamie!
5. Ever since I moved to California I have become a wimp when it comes to cold. Its 50 degrees right now & I am freezing. If I move back to Minnesota I'm in trouble.
6. I love the new TV show Heroes. Have you watched it? Hiro is awesome & I love the fact that he is also a computer engineer for Lucasarts in real life.
7. My friend Randy is a chef & cooks at Lucasarts. The other day Steven Spielburg & George Lucas came to thank him for the meal he made, how cool is that?!
8. I currently have the yarn to make myself four different sweaters, I really need to finish the projects I have & go start something for me.
9. I think I experienced pedestrian rage this past week, I accidentally bumped into a woman on thhe sidewalk who stopped in front of me when I turned my head for a second. I apologized, of course, & she proceeded to yell at me about why I wasn't looking & what was wrong with me. Seriously people I bumped into her.
10. Why can't I find any cool black lace up shoes for women? I have a pair of Simples that I love but they are wearing out really badly, everything out there either looks like sneakers or orthopedic shoes or are just a little too bulky.
11. I stopped drinking caffeine about 6 months ago & I am really a much happier nicer person (thanks to my co-worker Michael for agreeing a little too hardily to that.)
12. Vanessa at Nessie Noodle is doing the coolest thing on her blog. She is just posting photos every day for the month, no words, to chronicle the month. It helps the she has a really good eye for photography.
13. Sometimes living in an apartment is so weird. Like at night when I go to bed & the lights are out but you can see the hall light under the front door. That makes me start thinking about how many other people are actually in the building & I feel like I'm in a dorm again instead of my home.
