new crafting adventure

Suffering through a bad head cold all weekend & poor Matt has such a cough. Hopefully we are on the mend now but it didn't make for an very exciting weekend. We watched the first disc of Long Way Round on Friday & I loved it (& not just because its Ewan McGregor). Saturday was spent with the BBC version of Planet Earth, a fabulous series that we got on DVD for our birthdays.

As for the new crafting adventure, I stopped by a used bookstore last Monday & found a Readers Digest Learn to Quilt Kit with everything intact. I couldn't resist so I picked up it. Its got everything in it to help you make your first square & also a project book. Then I discovered the Fat Quarters Shop through the Adorn Magazine Blog. I couldn't resist this Summer in the City Kit.

It comes with all the fabric for the front of the 16" x 16" quilt and directions plus a bunch more for $20. I just thought this looked like so much fun & figure I can find a little girl who needs a doll quilt some day. Matt even bought be a cutting mat & ruler as well as

I can't wait to try the vinyl quilted bag in here.

Yeah just what I need new projects!

Oh yeah & if you're in the Bay Area & going to Maker Faire this weekend make sure to stop by the Noe Knit booth & say hi. I'll be there.
