It was such a beautiful weekend. They included everyone in their rehearsal dinner picnic & as a wedding present Matt & I did the cooking.
I've never made 30 pounds of potato salad before! We were so glad to be able to do something special for them as Susi did the flowers for our wedding and Rob drove us in one of his vintage cars.
All my commissioned projects are done & in the mail & I finished the skirt I was sewing & was embroidering for myself. I'll take a finished picture & post it later. Now I'm working on another embroidered pillow with a leaf design I drew myself.
My birthday was also last week and Matt gave me the most wonderful present. He had a bunch of the photos I've taken this year printed and framed for our living room.
I'm thrilled that he likes the results of my new hobby enough to show it off.
As for knitting I'm thinking its time to pick up the Jo Sharp sweater again and see if I can get the gauge right once and for all. But then I found this pattern online for the Mrs. Darcy Sweater and I'm very tempted..come on the gauge is 4 stitches per inch...heaven!
Your photos ARE lovely! I think that was a terrific birthday gift, too!
ReplyDeleteAnd how sweet of you two to do that for Susi and Rob! Everything looks yummy!
(((hugs)))

ReplyDeletehappy birthday girly! what a great present to have your art work framed and shown off!
Wow! Cooking for a crowd can be stressful -- especially when it's for your friends (and a friend's wedding at that!) Looks like you pulled it off with ease. What was on the menu?
