dream decorating

These days I spend a lot of time dream decorating a house a don't have yet. I've been spending some time on some really great design blogs like Design*Sponge (thanks Erin for that tip) and Design to Inspire. Even with nothing to decorate right now both of these sites are great eye candy.

The new Crate and Barrel Best Buys catalog came this week & Matt and I were both attracted to the same bedding.
Himmeli Bedding
This Himmeli Bedding is a modern update of a classic photo negative design by Maija Isola, one of Marimekko ® of Finland's original designers. I love the queen anne's lace motif. We got some Marimekko table linens this Christmas at Crate and Barrel as well. I love these clean Scandinavian designs & its great to see them becoming more readily available.
Shadow Bedding
We also both loved this Shadow Bedding. Our room right now has lots of red since I moved my red loveseat in there & we got a red comforter. When we move we are thinking that we will look towards calmer colors in the bedroom like this blue.

I can't wait until the day I actually own something I can paint & make my own like I've been dream decorating.

    Oooh, I like the brown one! We've got light brown walls, white trim, dark denim comforter/bed skirt/pillow shams, light brown recliner, and RED sheets.

    I do "dream decorating" sometimes when I'm trying to fall asleep...

    Those are more than wonderful. I have a weakness for photographs of trees and real trees of course! The art in those is great. I'm not even sure which I like best.

    I actually just tried to transplant some Queen Anne's Lace into my garden! Around here it's a weed but I love it! It didn't take root so I will have to get some seed when they start to die out.

    I'm quite partial to the second choice - but I like aqua! Plus it's so peaceful...which you want in the bedroom...

    I will buy the shadow bedspread. I have The Queen but am looking for a king size.
