Movin' Out

Things are a little crazy as we head into the last couple days of getting ready for the move to Minnesota. We went & closed on our house at the end of September & since we had some time to kill we put the first coat of primer on the living room walls.
Priming the living room
The were a dark burgundy. I can't wait to see how a little lighter color opens it open. We are planning on painting the walls green (something in the sage/olive family) with either or lighter contrast green on the fireplace. The walls are the original plaster walls & highly textured so painting takes a little more time. We were thrilled to see the scones over the fireplace were stamped 1930 on the back (one year older than the house).
I'm done working so my days are spent at home packing & cleaning.
#273 - Maybe I'll build a fort
The dust is really killing me with some serious allergy attacks. We are at the finish line though with only a few things like this computer left to pack away. The movers come Friday to do the rest & take it all away.
#275 - Reserved for our moving truck
There's been lots of lovely goodbye parties including one Monday night at Chicks with Sticks.
#274 - Knitters
I put this group together with Gabbi 4 years ago & its hard to imagine finding something like it again. I'm going to check out a knitting group near my new house in Minneapolis, hopefully they'll be a good group of people.
We begin our road trip on Sunday (after Kathy & Daniel's wedding Saturday). We are going to take 5 days giving ourselves a full day in Yellowstone.
#268 - The long road
It's supposed to snow there this week but hopefully be much nicer when we are there.
This is probably my last post until I get to the new house...see you in Minneapolis!

  1. Good luck with your move! I love visiting Minneapolis. It seems like it should be a good knitting town. I hope you find a fun new group.

We painted our dining room a sage green: it's so pretty and calmning.
