No big projects this week except for the endless shoveling.
We did get our new dining room set & the table is up.
It is the Madison table from Crate & Barrel. We have 6 of the leather chairs from IKEA but I need to put the other four together. The old chairs will go into the basement so we have a place to sit to take off our boots. Still no art up yet. I think while waiting until the new buffet is in. The old buffet & table are both going up stairs into my little room.
Matt moved the table up yesterday & set up my computer. My sewing machine will be across from it.
The buffet will go on the opposite wall to hold all this stuff.
Sewing stuff, fabric, paints, beads, books, etc. I don't think there will be enough room for yarn so I still need to figure that out. Its a strange little room in the eaves but perfect for my use.
We went to the No Coast Craft-a-Rama on Saturday & I picked up with print by Michelle Dorfe.
Its perfect for our bedroom though with its angled walls I haven't quite figured where it will hand. Perhaps on the wall in the to the bathroom. We've started talking a little more about painting the bedroom. Matt found these wall decals at Blix online.
They come in gray & white & would look fabulous over the soft blue color I want. The problem again is where to put them. My first thought is this blank wall next to Matt's dresser.
I could also just paint that wall & leave the rest white. Its pretty tricky to figure out what should be painted. Here is the wall opposite our bed.
Do we paint up to the knee wall or up to the ceiling, what about around the skylights? (all those wooden doors are closets, love that!) The there is the wall along the stairway going to the first floor.
I'm not sure I'd want to paint it blue as well even though it is one wall of the bedroom. Think I'll need to think this one over awhile.
Ok..I have been lurking here a little bit. I love what you have done with your new home and your knits. Great blog! I too love to read "Go Fug Yourself" and I just logged onto "A Steaming Pile of Knits" and just about fell out of my chair laughing! Thanks so much for brightening the evening :o)
