Working on sketches & fabric ideas for this new challenge. On the show they created a fabric pattern on a computer & sent that away to be printed. We don't have that luxury so we are creating our patterned fabric with painted, stencils, etc... It's not easy to hand paint a fashionable small print. I'm going with purple & silver dots on black. I wish you could see the purple better in this photo.
Handmade 365 2010- My goal is to spend time everyday working on something handmade for a year & photograph it.

Actually you can make your own prints. You iron a good quality white fabric to freezer paper and cut to 8.5 X 11. As long as you're not washing the garment it would work out great for doll size clothes.
ReplyDeleteKathy -I do have sheets of quilters freezer paper that I could try! Does it make the fabric stiff?
ReplyDeleteWow - WOW - your fabric is amazing.
ReplyDeleteI am almost finished with my look, and I want to go try the freezer paper!
