lazy saturday

its been a pretty lazy day. we took a lovely walk through the neighborhood with a stop a william-sonoma for a few kitchen necessities & did a little bit of christmas shopping. i've been spending my time on the couch working on the next window for the store, can you guess the theme?

i'm not doing it completely literally but here are two of my four calling birds.

the pattern is from the latest issue of Vogue Knit Simple. i used nashua julia for the yarn because that's what i had around & it was the right gauge. plus i really love the nashua yarns.
off for a competitive night of dominos....
